Specific information about IBG 30 OBERNBURG
Dates 03.11. – 13.11.03
You should arrive at the 3rd of November and stay until the 13th of November. Please try to arrive in the afternoon or in the evening the 3rd of November because there are no early arrivals possible. It would be great if you could give a message to IBG of your exact arrival dates in advance.
Approximate number of volunteers 10, but this can vary.
Address of the camp / Accommodation
The accommodation will be in a hikers lodge about 3 km from Obernburg with a beautiful view on the valley. The address will be Naturfreunde Adel 1
All facilities like kitchen, toilet and shower are in the lodge and there are beds as well. For sleeping you can either bring a sleeping bag or bed linen.

Work / the surroundings
Obernburg is a very nice town in the valley of the river Main, not far from Frankfurt and has approximately about 8000 inhabitants. It has some nice old buildings. Excursions to the cities of Aschaffenburg, Frankfurt, Darmstadt and Heidelberg are possible.
For the first time the local municipality welcomes an IBG workcamp. For two or three days there is some work to do around the hikers lodge, where the accommodation of the camp will be. Afterwards the volunteers will clear an old narrow path and cut trees. Please be aware that work will be outside and the weather can be cold and rainy (but of course there is also the chance of sun). Be prepared with warm clothes and raincoates.
What else to bring
Volunteers from EU countries have to bring an E111. Please bring a sleeping bag or bed linen and don’t forget warm clothes, a raincoat and sturdy shoes!
