CAMP THEME: Girl child Education.
HOST COMMUNITY: Akamba long distance traders and well known in carving and weaving work.
WORK: Construction of Water Tank.
ORIENTATION: On 20th February at PIVS office and visit Kibera slums

ACCOMODATION: At Mugeli Primary School
INDICATION: Develop a plan for M / L term volunteers
EXPECTED OUTCOME: See more girls have right to go to school
CULTURAL EDUCATION: To learn how to carve and weave and also from the volunteers this will be done on weekends.

WORK: Construction of a Center
ORIENTATION: On 20th March at PIVS office and visit to street children Rehabilitation center
ACCOMODATION: At Kitile primary school

EXPECTED OUTCOME: Sport clubs
CULTURAL EDUCATION: A talk to be given by a World War II veteran on 25th March at campsite.

21ST – 11TH MAY
CAMP THEME: Community participation in rural development
HOST COMMUNITY: Luo, they have a rich traditional culture “Lake people” fishing is their major source of income though they practice small – scale.
WORK: Brick Making.
ORIENTATION: On 20th April at PIVS office and visit to street children Rehabilitation center
ACCOMODATION: At one of the member’s house
X: Possible visit to Ruma national Park.
INDICATION: M / L term volunteers and Office
EXPECTED OUTCOME: Sports club
CULTURAL EDUCATION: The office and the community will work on.

CAMP THEME: Poverty
HOST COMMUNITY: Kalenjin, they have a rich traditional culture, composed of several tribes and our 2nd President came from this community.
WORK: Water Tank Construction
ORIENTATION: On 20th June at PIVS office
ACCOMODATION: At one of the member’s house
X: Possible visit to L. Nakuru, Baringo, Hells Gate.
INDICATION: M / L term volunteers and Office
EXPECTED OUTCOME: Publicity and promotion of Berurot youth
CULTURAL EDUCATION: To learn how to weave and also from the volunteers this will be done on weekends.

PIVS RIFTVALLEY BARINGO 21ST JULY – 11TH AUGUST
CAMP THEME: Poverty and HIV and AIDS
HOST COMMUNITY: Kalenjin, they have a rich traditional culture, composed of several tribes and also known to produce the best long distance runners
WORK: Water Tank Construction
ORIENTATION: On 20th July at PIVS office and visit to a self help group in the slum areas of Nairobi
X: Possible visit to L. Nakuru, Baringo and former president’s home
INDICATION: M / L term volunteers and Office
EXPECTED OUTCOME: creation of a self-help group
CULTURAL EDUCATION: The community and office will work it!

CAMP THEME: HIV and AIDS
HOST COMMUNITY: Luo, they have a rich traditional culture “Lake people” fishing is their major source of income though they practice small – scale.
WORK: Construction of a Health Center
ORIENTATION: On 20th August at PIVS office and visit to a children’s home in Nairobi
ACCOMODATION: Migingo Sec School
X: Possible visit to Kit mikae L.Victoria outing in kisumu city
INDICATION: M / L term volunteers and Office
EXPECTED OUTCOME: Good team work on fighting HIV/AIDS.
CULTURAL EDUCATION: Two village elders will have a talk with the volunteers about Luo culture.

CAMP THEME: HIV and AIDS
HOST COMMUNITY: Luo and Luhya they have a rich traditional culture “Lake people” fishing is their major source of income though they practice small – scale.
WORK: Getting Wood for Construction of the School. There will be 4 boats for Volunteer.
ORIENTATION: On 21ST October at PIVS office and visit to a children’s home in Nairobi
X: Possible visit to Kit mikae L.Victoria outing in kisumu city
ACCOMODATOIN: In a community building.
INDICATION: M / L term volunteers and Office
EXPECTED OUTCOME: Have more Classrooms in this school.
