영국(YAP) 단체에서 올 여름 국제워크캠프 일정을 발표했습니다.
조기마감이 예상되오니 참가를 희망하는 분들은 서둘러주시기 바랍니다.

1: Othona Community Workcamp.

The Othona Community was founded in 1946. It is a residential centre for people of different ages, nationalities and backgrounds to seek a common understanding in the cause of peace. Othona has welcomed YAP volunteers since the early 1970's.
Othona is a non-dogmatic Christian Community founded next to one of the oldest churches in the UK (650AD). It fully involves non-Christians. It is an experimental community where work, play, drama, art and study are combined. It is situated on the east coast of Essex, next to a nature reserve. It is 5 Km from the nearest village. Volunteers will be fully integrated in the life of the community. The work will consist of renovation work, gardening and will take a full part in the cooking and domestic duties of the community. During the volunteers time there, there will be week-long courses on Walking and History about the Dengie hundred, Diversty of Christianty through the ages and Drama workshops for the young and old. for the guests at the centre.
Extra fee: There is an extra fee of £50:00 per volunteer.

2: Stanley Playscheme

Stanley is a small former industrial town in the north east of England (near Newcastle). The Stanley Youth Centre provides social education and recreational activity for local young people. The Stanley Playscheme Committee uses the centre to provide summer holiday activities for 130 children aged 5 to 12 years and offers opportunities for young volunteers (half local and international ) for intercultural learning. The playscheme includes 2 weeks of indoor and outdoor activities including art and craft, music, drama, sports, games, excursions, etc. Volunteers should be able to work as a member of a team. They will help organise a daily programme and encourage participation in a wide range of activities. They need to come well prepared to share their own childhood experience through games, music and activities. Volunteers should be motivated for the work and able to work on their own initiative in a challenging work environment.
Police check / YAP Children Act form required.
Good conversational level of English preferred (Strong regional accent).

3: Follifoot Disabled Riding Camp.

This workcamp is run in collaboration with Quaker Voluntary Action. The Follifoot Park Disabled Riders Group provides therapeutic riding in a safe environment for people with disabilities. The project is based in the small town of Harrogate in an attractive part of northern England. During the first week volunteers will do manual work at the stables and help with holiday rides for disabled people of all ages. In this time they will learn the work for the second week. Volunteers will need to be able to run alongside horses. In the second week volunteers help to set up and run a residential holiday camp at the stables for nine disabled children, most of whom need a high degree of assistance. Accommodation in the first week will be in a church hall in Harrogate and in the second in a marquee at the stables. Conditions will be basic and in the second week volunteers must be residential for 24 hours. Experience of horses very helpful but not essential.

4: Stourbridge playscheme.

Stourbridge is near to the city of Birmingham, the second largest city in Britain. This workcamp is run in collaboration with Quaker Voluntary Action. The Rollercoasters play scheme is for 40 children aged 4-19 years with profound learning and physical disabilities. They need a high degree of assistance with mobility and personal care. There is a minimum ratio of one staff member or volunteer for every child. Volunteers will help children with activities like soft and sensory play, splash pool, music therapy, art & craft activities, trips to the zoo, sensory gardens, and theme parks. One day pre-scheme training given. Ongoing support provided. Accommodation (excellent) in a church hall. Volunteers for this scheme need to be committed and capable of tiring work. The project also involves a large number of young local volunteers.
