이번 여름 국제워크캠프에 참가하시고자 하는 분들에게 유럽의 가운데 위치한 작은 나라 헝가리의 워크캠프를 소개합니다.
헝가리는 바다가 없는 나라이지만, 'the Hungarian sea'이라 불리는 큰 Balaton 호주도 있고, 과거 로마시대의 많은 유적들도 있답니다. 서유럽과 동유럽중 한곳을 선택하려 고민하는 여러분들에게 많은 도움이 되었으면 합니다.

VP05 Békéscsaba ANIMATION

PROJECT AND WORK: The workcamp will take place in the Reception Centre for Asylum Seekers in Békéscsaba. The centre hosts 100-200 asylum seekers from all over the world. The volunteers will organise activities for the children and adults of the refugee camp with the help of the social workers of the camp. They will have to use their imagination in order to offer programmes which can be interesting for the refugees.
ACCOMODATION: In the centre, beds and sheets are provided.
LOCATION: Békéscsaba is situated in the South-East of Hungary, 220 km from the capital. The population of the town is 68000. You can find more information at www.bekescsaba.hu.
FREE TIME: Excursions, visits to Gyula and Szeged, swimming pool etc.
REMARK: The volunteers are asked to prepare to this workcamp and to send us a short motivation letter with their ideas and the activities they plan to realise during the workcamp.



VP-06 ISLAND OF SZENTENDRE-HORANY ENVIRONMENTAL

WORK: cutting wood, gardening, collecting garbage in the Dunaipoly National Park
ACCOMODATION: in a youth camp that can host up to 125 people. The volunteers will stay in wooden houses, with 4-8 beds. Bathroom and toilet facilities available. Breakfast lunch and dinner provided by the camp in its own restaurant
LOCATION: The campsight will be on the ISLAND OF SZENTENDRE in HORÁNY. The island is the closest big island from the North of Budapest, about 40 minutes from the center of the capital. HORÁNY - a nice and quiet holiday place on the Danube shore - is about half an hour walk away from the town center, SZENTENDRE, which is a beautiful small town, famous for its cultural life, full of museums, historical sights, cafes, restaurants small old houses and alleys.
LEISURE TIME: since it's an island, the shore of the Danube is a perfect place to be in the summer. Szentendre with all ist cultural heritage, restaurants and cafes are also close. Budapest is about 40 minutes away.
