VJF 3.8 BERLIN IN AUTUMN Period: 21.09-04.10.2004 Participants: 12 Work: RENO / CONS
The Area: You will live in the „Projekt- und Begegnungsstätte“, which is the meeting and project centre of the Union of Young Volunteers (VJF). It is situated in a forest directly on the bank of the lake „Langer See“ in Berlin. It’s a quiet place, a bit far from the centre of Berlin (but there are good public transportation connections). This centre is used as accommodation for different groups of young people as well as a holiday resort for school classes. It is possible to hold national or international assemblies there as well.
The Work: Volunteers help is needed for digging ditches and pits, which are needed for connecting water-tubes and cables, for clearance work at the area and for assisting the construction workers with different things. Please be aware that sometimes the work will be physically hard and dirty.
Accommodation: You will live in the centre in small houses.
