YAP RO07- PADIS (Transylvania) - 16.08 - 23.08.2004 - ENVI - 6 volunteers
WORK: Cleaning up and maintenance of the area.
LOCATION: The Padis tourist area is located in Romania, in the Apuseni Mountains, on the Northern part of the Bihor Mountains. Administratively, Padis is located in the South-Eastern part of Bihor County, at about 10 km East of Pietroasa village.
The region is crossed by a 53 km long forest road Rachitele - Ic Ponor - Padis - Boga - Pietroasa: Rachitele - Ic Ponor 21 km, Ic Ponor - Padis 10 km, Padis - Pietroasa 22 km.Both ends of this forest road are on county roads (Huedin - Rachitele 27km, a partly modernised road and Sudrigiu - Pietroasa 12 km, asphalt road). The best route for access to the Padis area is Oradea-Huedin-Rachitele-Ic Ponor-Padis.

ACCOMODATION: In tents. Volunteers have to bring along sleeping bags.
LANGUAGE OF THE CAMP: English
MEETING POINT: In Cluj-Napoca on the 16th of August 2004. Volunteers will have to cover travel expenses from Cluj-Napoca to Padis with the minibus (around 10 Euro).
