The local host is the Foundation Proyecto Ecologico Chiriboga, a local non-profit organization founded in 1997. To promote ecological development and consciousness in a little village called Chiriboga. IBG was interested in the project and sent a group of volunteers to Ecuador in 1998. They started with the first phase of reforesting in the area of Chiriboga, planting 1800 trees. Since 1997 the Foundation Proyecto Ecologico Chiriboga started various projects, similar to the first one. The group will continuing work in the reforestation and planting trees in the area of the Eco Proyecto. You will work from Monday to Friday, approximately from 8:00 to 13:30, depending on the conditions and the weather. Please notice, that the work can change to the conditions and necessities of the project. The primary language at the camp will be spanish. You should be able to speak and understand spanish. You also have the possibility to improve your knowledge of Spanish and get to know more about the country. ACC,: Volunteers will stay together in the house of the Foundation Proyecto Ecologico Chiriboga. EXTRA FEES: Volunteers must pay 250 USD upon arrival (first day). That includes food and accommodation for the whole workcamp. Please add motivation letter in Spanish to your application.
