아시아 자원봉사 개발 네트워크(Network for Voluntary Development in Asia)는 1995년에 설립되어 아시아 국제 워크캠프 단체들이 활동하고 있는 NGO, NPO 단체입니다. 현재 정회원으로 활동하고 있는 IWO에서도 이번 인도네시아 특별 프로그램에 참가자를 모집하고 있습니다.

Name : Demak camp NVDA special workcamp (NVDA members only)
Place : Demak city, Central Java province, Java island
Project : The city is a very famous with its historical river, in which the seven messangers of Islam lived around for years ago. Those who use the water for washing dishes, animal, cloth and meal altogether believe that they will get their blessing. Unfortunately, local people do not aware of waste management. They throw garbage on the river and burn some plastics which can damage ozon layer for many years. Meanwhile, the river which lies on the bank of the main road has many water plants. It can purify the water but then fishes can die because of the roots and sometimes not easy for local people to use water where there water plants are growing faster. During the stay, we need to educate people about waste management and remove the water plants along the river regularly. If possible, we will organize waste management with local government too with socialization, container and any important matter.
Accom. : host family, need sleeping bag, self cooking
