IBG 37 Bernburg (Saxony-Anhaltine) 07.08. – 25.08.2005 RENO 11 volunteers
Location:
Bernburg itself is a town with a history of more than 1000 years in eastern part of Germany. There is a castle on the top of the valley of the river Saale which can be seen from far away. You will get more information about this beautiful town at www.bernburg.de
Work:
The local host is a cooperation partner for many years now and very experienced in organising workcamps. The project will be gardening and renovation work in and around Bernburg. For example you will help to renovate the playgrounds or the parks. There might also be some painting work to be done.
Accommodation:
The camp will stay at the youth centre “Klubhaus der Jugend”. It is a youth club with all facilities like kitchen, showers, toilets and equipment like billiard, TV, music recorder, etc.
You will have close contact to local youth who visit the youth centre regularly.
There are plenty of possibilities for leisure activities such as visiting the town, going to pubs and bars, making excursions to towns like Berlin or Leipzig, canoeing on the river, etc.
Next airport: Leipzig or Berlin, Next train station: Bernburg
