지난 5월 26일부터 1개월짜리 MTV (Mid-term Volunteer)로
전북 무주에 있는 대안학교인 푸른꿈고등학교에서 활동하고 있는


국제자원봉사자인 독일인 Sarah와 영국인 Luise로부터
자기들 활동에 대한 중간보고가 들어왔네요.
여기에 그 내용을 실어드립니다.


국제워크캠프기구에서는
지역의 학교, NGO 등에서 외국인 젊은이들이 와서 활동하는
외국인 자원봉사 프로그램을 개발하고 있답니다.


대안학교 고등학생들과 숲속의 학교에서 함께 생활하며
다양한 활동을 하고 있는 Sarah와 Luise에게
많은 관심과 격려를 보내주시기 바랍니다.

Hello,

We are doing well thank you.
It has been great fun working with the students.

We are holding english classes for the 1st and 2nd years. We have been playing games with them, doing crosswords and word searches, getting them to listen to their favourite English music, and asking them to bring photos of their friends and family so we can talk about them.

We had a music lesson with a class which was really good. I am learning the Buk drum and Luise is playing the same instrument she did in the other workcamp in Jongbogo.

In the evenings we are helping with the English club, playing traditional Korean and English games which was very interesting. I have started my salsa classes and Luise is starting Maculele tonight. We have also started to learn Korean and are having a lesson every day. I am still struggling with the alphabet though!

The teachers and students are extremely friendly and helpful. They are very keen to talk to us and have involved us in their student meetings. The teachers have taken us out to the local area as well as to a singing room in the evening. They are very good singers, I am not sure we were as good!

This morning we have intoduced our countries to the 1st and 3rd years and this afternoon we will help the students with their farming.
