JAVVA 04 (festival of traditionnal music) 08/09-20/09
Each year in September a big traditional music festival is organised in the area of Huy (this year, in the farm-castel of Marsinne in Couthuin. It lasts three days and welcomes more than 2000 enthusiastic visitors.
This festival welcomes instrument makers, as well as artists from many countries and local craftsmen. During the festival the following activities are being organised: workshops (dance, tale-telling....), , shows in the streets and under the big top, free podium, a big party for kids and concerts.
Volunteers will take an active part in the organisation of this event - i.e. before, during (to see on the spoot) and after the festival. In practical terms, this will consist of: pitching and taking down tents, marking roads, helping with animation...... And most importantly: you will also be invited to take part in all the activities offered to the public (traditional dances, singing....)
