다문화 교류 등 다양한 프로그램으로 진행됩니다.

생태계 보전과 관련한 토론과 철새 관찰, 스쿠버등의
특별활동들이 준비되어 있으니,

Backgound: First site of International voluntary service projects in the Philippines, Olango Island Lapu-Lapu- City Cebu (Central Visayas Region) it’s wetlands is internationally known for its importance as feeding ground of the migratory birds that transit from the northern to southern part of the world to escape the winter season of their place. Active in the island since 2001, EYES will cooperate from this new project site in olango which is the ranger station of the Olango Island wildlife sanctuary to support the Community based eco tourism project for the people, by the people of the people which is designed to eliminate the massive illegal fishing of the place since it put danger to the marine life and as well as the birds.
Work: The volunteers will contribute to the renovation of the community center of this people’s organization, mainly light repair carpentry works for the center. They will also introduce the elements of their own country, culture, games, fun art activities to the children
Study theme: The volunteer’s will be introduced to the activities of this community based eco-tourism projects and it’s philosophy, The Birds migration and a presentation of Philippine culture and history.
Leisure time: During free time, nature lovers and birdwatchers will have the chance to benefit to the full access to the sanctuary. Several sea sports can also be practiced nearby olango ( snorkeling and scuba-diving in particular). They will also receive a rare opportunity to witness and experience the most unique baliw-baliw festival in Olango
Accomodation: The volunteers will be accommodated in Olango community center built in traditional materials by volunteers . Sleeping bag and mat is needed.
