    Neyron is a commune of 2,600 inhabitants in the Ain department of the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region. Bordering Lyon, it enjoys a privileged setting between nature and urban dynamism, just a few minutes (by public transport) from the city center. Bordered by the Grand Parc de Miribel-Jonage, famous for its summer lake, Neyron offers a green environment ideal for lovers of the outdoors and tranquillity. The historically rich commune of Neyron is home to a former military fort. It is gradually being transformed into a lively and inspiring third place. Conceived as a genuine crossroads of ideas and initiatives, it will welcome associations, local residents and the curious around a project that is at once territorial, architectural and ecological. This emblematic place will become a space for encounters, creation, culture and experimentation, in the service of a more sustainable and humane urbanism.

    Description of work:

    Your mission: Setting up an open-air theater and 127807;During your stay, you ll contribute to the creation of a green amphitheater and stage dedicated to open-air shows and cultural events. This project will take place in several different steps and will provide the commune with a convivial place that s accessible to all.127959; The work to be carried out and 128296; Installing the bleachers Preparing the site for the stands.     The Ain region is ideal for exploring nature and taking part in sporting activities. Furthermore, its proximity to Lyon offers countless cultural opportunities, from museums to artistic events, as well as a dynamic and inspiring urban life. So, when you re not on site, you can enjoy a varied programme of activities, combining cultural discovery, sporting activities, social gatherings and relaxation. The town of Neyron is fully committed to this project. There will be a number of highlights during the work camp, including a welcome drink organised by the town hall, a meal shared with local residents, guided tours of the fort by local volunteers, and participation in local festivities such as the 14 July festival (French national day). These are all opportunities to forge new links and enjoy a collective experience deeply rooted in the local area.Throughout your stay, there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved in sports and social activities, such as cooperative games, walks around Neyron and volleyball or badminton tournaments.     Description of the partner organizing/hosting the project:

    Taevaskoja Youth Camp is adventurous hiking camp that has been active for over 30 years. The aim of Taevaskoja camp is to support children s development through non-formal education. During the youth camp kids participate in different workshops about health, safety, culture and enjoy climbing and hiking activities. Taevaskoja is located in South-Estonia, about 220 km from Tallinn. The camp site is very close to the one of the most popular natural touristic place - Suur Taevaskoda (The Large Heaven s Hall), surrounded by beautiful forest and close to the one of the longest rivers in Estonia. Such location brings children closer to unspoiled nature and gives them an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with Estonian national heritage richly presented in the area. The camp aims also to develop children s knowledges about different cultures and support the growth of tolerance. To do that Taevaskoja Youth Camp invites international volunteers to join the camp as animators. Children come to Taevaskoja camp from all over Estonia. Most of them have basic knowledge of English and are very happy to have a chance to practice it.     Description of work:

    Each day of the camp will have a program completed by local coordinators and the volunteers will be helping to realize it. The main activities will be intercultural learning through finding differences and similarities between Estonia and countries, where volunteers come from (history, traditions, language, singing, dancing). It will be done through games, drama, sport, discussions. We expect that volunteers would lead a workshop connected with their culture (traditional dances, games, everyday life, food specialities, etc.) It can be educational one or as a game to play. Therefore we look for active volunteers with good knowledge of history and culture of their country and ability to present it. Volunteer will work in partnership with professional local educators and youth workers i 9 staff members. The age of children is from 8 to 17 depending on shift.

    Description of specific requirements: Special requirementsYou have to love kids and be really motivated to work with them. The work demands 24-hours commitment and it can be pretty hard sometimes. Experience in work with children is an advantage. We expect active volunteers with good knowledge of history and culture of their country and ability to present it. All exciting ideas of activities for kids, games etc. are welcome. Good ability to communicate in English is needed and knowledge of Russian may be useful. The age of participants is 20-35.Participation feeWe ask participants to contribute 40 Euro towards the costs of general administration.     Local Partners
    Caritas Diocesana di Patti is a non-profit association with the objectives of social solidarity and human promotion.The Caritas Centre was created at the end of 2021 to help people with economic difficulties and different social backgrounds. It is involved in various activities such as a solidarity pharmacy, with a food and clothing store to donate to people living in the surrounding area, and running a listening centre.The group of people who run the centre also run a Eurodesk InfoPoint for local young people, who carry out activities with local schools.

    Work
    Volunteers will assist the Caritas Centre with the management and implementation of recreational activities during a summer camp they organise in June and July for local children and young people, many of whom are already supported by Caritas' daily social support and inclusion activities. Volunteers can organise and suggest activities, games, dances and songs. The work will mainly take place in the mornings.
    They will take care of games, sports activities, leisure time and arranging the space for activities. Other tasks may arise on the spot. The group could be divided into smaller groups for a better organisation of the work and to experience different tasks.

    Sant'Agata di Militello is a small town on the coast of Sicily and the beach is very close to the accommodation. It is close to the railway station, so it's possible to reach nearby cities by train. Excursions to the Nebrodi Park (the largest protected area in Sicily) or to nearby cities can be organised at the volunteers' own expense.

    Every year, the best underground bands, theatres, and the majority of the NGO scene gather in a small lakeside village in Hungary. Participate in the country’s leading socially conscious small festival as a volunteer!
    Bánkitó is Hungary’s biggest independent, socially conscious, cultural and community festival with a wide range of programmes throughout its three days (9-12 July 2025) in the summer from music through theatre to contemporary art. It offers concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions, civil initiatives, workshops, and round-table discussions about social justice issues, human rights, and the experiences and cultures of minorities. It takes place at Bánkitó, a small Hungarian village 60kms away from Budapest.
    The music at the festival is progressive, contemporary, and constantly renewing, with the newest and most exciting bands of the Hungarian music scene. The civil/cultural programs always poke at important and actual topics, working towards understanding society’s issues with activists from NGOs, musicians, actors, and artists. Contemporary Hungarian theatre pieces will be showcased, and Hungary’s most exciting contemporary artists will transform the shores of Lake Bánk into an art exhibition.

    Join the Bankitó Festival team as a volunteer and be part of an unforgettable experience! We are looking for volunteers to help with the festival setup from July 7-9 and cleanup from July 12-13. Your tasks will include construction work such as drilling, assembling, and moving heavy objects – all necessary tools will be provided. In return, you’ll get free access to the festival, where you can enjoy all the programs, concerts, and the vibrant community atmosphere.

    Bánk is a tiny village in Nógrád County, centered around the not-so-tiny Lake Bánk. It has everything a lakeside village might need: a small store, a tobacco shop, a pizzeria, a pub, a few hotels and motels, and a lakeside eatery. However, there is no ATM, local shops have a limited selection, and during the festival, the village can get quite crowded—so if you have any special needs, be sure to bring what you’ll need!

    Bánkitó Festival has been a part of the town for 13 years, primarily around the Lakeshore and the Camp. Over the years, it has expanded to the Reeds and the Meadow, creating a unique atmosphere. The lake, the charming wooden cabins, and the hidden venues tucked away in small forest clearings all contribute to Bánkitó’s distinctive character. All of this takes place in the scenic surroundings of Lake Bánk, just a one-hour drive or a leisurely half-day bike ride from Budapest.

    Meeting Point and Time: Meeting point: Budapest “Újpest Városkapu” 4 PM, Sunday, July 6. It takes approximately one hour to reach Újpest-Városkapu from the airport using the airport bus and Metro line M3. From Újpest, the team will travel together by public bus to Bánk, first taking a bus to Rétság and then transferring to another bus to Bánk. The total journey takes about 1.5 hours. Buses run roughly every two hours, so you have the option to arrive earlier or slightly later. However, we strongly recommend taking the 7:30 PM bus at the latest, as you’ll still need to set up your tents upon arrival, and doing so at night can be much more challenging.

    You will live in tents during the festival and you are asked to bring your own tent (we can provide some if needed) and sleeping bags. The wheather in the nights can be cold, so it is suggested to bring warm clothes as well. A vegetarian option is available. We provide all the equipment needed to fulfil your tasks.

    Short remarks for the project:
    You should be fit enough for physically demanding work. No language requirements, but we require a way to communicate with the organizers in Hungarian or English. Please bring clothes that you won’t regret getting dirty during construction, your sleeping bag and personal medicine. Please send us a motivation letter focusing on why you would choose to work on the festival, and what kind of related skills or previous experiences you have had at the chosen field, for example doing physical work (construction and demolition) on warm summer days. You do not need any special skills to volunteer at the festival.

    The local association Waldstock e.V. (https://waldstock.de/) promotes local youth activities in Pegnitz, a small town in Franconia, Bavaria, near Nuremberg. Its members are very motivated and involved in organizing projects like concerts, film festivals or soccer cups. For more than 20 years, they have been coordinating the “Waldstock” music festival, also know as “Umsonst und Draussen” festival, which translates to “outside & free of charge”. Waldstock has become a very important event for the cultural life in Pegnitz and the whole region as it attracts thousands of visitors every year. Since 2013 the festival is supported by a small group of international Workcamp volunteers, who can enjoy the truly unique experience of being part of the festival team.     Description of work:

    You will help the organisers in all phases of the festival. The main tasks will be:

    1. Setting up the stage and the campground on the site of the festival.
    2. Help to create the charming and handmade decorations of the festival site and help with the disassembly of the whole structure and surroundings on the last days.
    3. Be available to assist in different areas: bar, stage, organisation, catering etc.

    You will work closely with the local people from the association! There is a plan for the build-up of the festival, nevertheless the schedule will be flexible and adapted to the logistics of the event and you are expected to be flexible, patient and work autonomously within this plan. Volunteers should be prepared to work long and unusual hours, but also have some time between their shifts, which can be used to explore the festival and enjoy the music! Speaking or understanding basic German will be a plus.

    Pegnitz is a small town in Franconia, Bavaria, near Nuremberg. You can find medieval and historic buildings and churches in the centre of the city. The city is known for its beers: It has a long tradition in brewery and the locals are very proud of it. The Bavarian region, in which Pegnitz is located, is called “Little Switzerland” due to its beautiful surrounding that invites extended adventures and hiking trips in the region. There are all kinds of trails and possibilities to experience the unique nature.

    Description of work:

    The community of Londa has always been committed to the redevelopment and enhancement of the area. At a time when more and more young people are leaving small towns to move to the city, Londa is resilient and committed to remaining an attractive place, thanks in part to the presence of a recently redeveloped lake and the many festivals that enliven the area from June to September. The Londa Workcamp was born out of a desire to create encounters between diverse communities and promote an authentic exchange between villagers and volunteers. By joining this workcamp you will contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals: SustainableCommunities-SDG11
    WORK: Volunteers will be engaged in various environmental redevelopment and sustainability activities contributing concretely to the care of the area; such us: the removal of stones along the banks of the lake, sanding and painting the benches placed in green areas, cleaning the water drainage ditches along the roads, support in organizing the village festival that will be held during the course of the workcamp. Some of the work can be carried out independently, after necessary instructions, while others will be carried out with the assistance and support of the municipal workers. Volunteers will work five days a week, averaging six hours a day. Saturdays and Sundays will be days off, during which it will be possible to participate in leisure activities. The tasks will be carried out entirely outdoors and in close contact with the local area.

    Volunteers will stay in a portion of a farmhouse located in the hamlet of Caiano. The house consists of two bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower, a kitchen, a large living room, a terrace where dining is possible, and extensive outdoor green spaces. It is possible that the bedrooms will be mixed, depending on the number of males and females participating in the project. Volunteers will cook their own meals and the diet will be mainly vegetarian. The house is 3 km from the village but the municipality will provide a free bus to get to the village and places of work.

    This is our first year working with Les Moulins de Paillard!
    Recognized by the French Ministry of Culture as one of the Ateliers de Fabrique Artistique, Paillard has a global cultural and artistic project, including the production and dissemination of contemporary works, through which the public interest association works to safeguard and enhance the heritage site. Located on the Loir in a former 18th-century paper mill, Paillard offers a contemporary program of exhibitions, choreographies and concerts, as well as educational workshops and events open to all throughout the year. The works produced at Moulins de Paillard are then exhibited in galleries, museums, theaters and art centers around the world.
    You'll be welcomed by the founders of this place: Shelly and James!

    Are you a true artist? Do you like to get your hands dirty? This project is for you!

    This is our first year working with Moulins de Paillard! A veritable artistic oasis, this site welcomes artists from all over the world every year to work on their creations. Founded by two enthusiasts, Shelly and James, the site is constantly evolving, and this year we're working together to make it even better!
    If you like learning lots of new techniques, you're in for a treat! This workcamp includes 3 small masonry and carpentry projects. You'll be taking part in the creation of wooden cladding for an outdoor room, the creation of a compost bin and the rehabilitation of part of the well on the site by staking and repointing lime mortar (a masonry technique for old buildings).
    You'll be accompanied throughout the project by our expert guides, who will help you learn these techniques step by step!

    This workcamp is an opportunity to take full advantage of the exceptional setting of a former 18th-century paper mill and to immerse yourself in Sarthe culture: local culinary specialties, hiking, discovery of local heritage and the Château de Poncé.

    Meeting Point and Time: The meeting point is scheduled at Château du Loir Train Station at the end of the afternoon of the first day. On the last day (30/07), the departure time is usually set in the morning. From Paris, you can take the train from Gare Montparnasse, regular departures are scheduled throughout the day. The journey takes about 3 hours. If you are coming first by plane, remember that you will need some time to commute from the airport to the train station, therefore we recommend that you arrive early enough for you not to rush and have a stress-free journey. The exact meeting time will be given with the infosheet which will be sent at least 4 weeks before the start of the workcamp. If possible, please consider using low-carbon transportation (train and bus rather than airplane) for a sustainable international workcamp.     Description of accommodation and food:

    You'll be staying near the Moulins de Paillard. Accommodation will be in individual tents (bring your own warm comforter). The kitchen, living area, showers and toilets will be close to the camp. You'll have access to a professional kitchen, so you can cook your best recipes! Volunteers will be able to share their internet connection (no WIFI), and laundry will be done by hand.
    You'll share collective tasks and prepare meals together. A budget will be allocated to the animators, and you'll take part in the shopping and meal preparation, giving priority to healthy, local products, and exchanging recipes if you wish.

    Châteaudouble is a medieval village with a rich heritage of sumptuous monuments, some of which are listed. Very dynamic and committed to promoting its historical and natural heritage, the commune is also developing several projects in the village. For the seventh consecutive year, we are renewing our partnership with the commune of Châteaudouble.
    Our work and your commitment will enable us to restore and enhance this magnificent site for the benefit of local residents and tourists alike!

    Description of work:

    Help preserve the heritage of Châteaudouble, a small medieval Provencal village typical of southern France. For lovers of nature, hilltop villages and heritage!
    The village hosts a number of cultural events at its open-air Théâtre de Verdure, on an esplanade overlooking the village and its listed monuments, with a magnificent unobstructed view.
    As the site is vast, a number of restoration projects are planned, with the main aim of building the dry-stone wall adjoining the Châteaudouble open-air theater, and the secondary aim of constructing the steps to demarcate the passageway.

    Overlooking the Nartuby gorges in the Haut Var, Châteaudouble has preserved its authentic medieval appearance. The village invites you to explore its narrow streets, wander between the houses and climb up to the castle ruins on the Sainte Anne plateau.
    Châteaudouble offers a wide range of leisure activities, including visits and walks, swimming in the rivers and gorges, kayaking in the gorges or at sea, hiking, local sports such as pétanque, and participation in the various village festivities.
    As the commune is isolated with little public transport, the vast majority of activities will take place on site. Outings to the gorges and/or the sea can also be organized.

    The nearest terminal (train-, bus-, taxi station): ARCS DRAGUIGNAN train station
    Meeting Point and Time: The meeting point is the Gare des ARCS DRAGUIGNAN on 09/07 at 5pm. From the Gare de Lyon in Paris, there are several direct or connecting trains to Les ARCS DRAGUIGNAN station. The journey takes around 5 hours. An “on-demand” rural bus service operates in the area, linking Draguignan and Châteaudouble; the organizers will be in touch with you in the days leading up to the site, with specific instructions on how to get to the site. Train reservations can be made around 4 months before departure on the SNCF website, link below: https://www.sncf-connect.com Whenever possible, use low-carbon means of transport (train or bus, rather than plane) for a responsible and sustainable international worksite.

    Description of accommodation and food:

    You'll be housed in tents (provided by CONCORDIA) on the Plateau de Sainte-Anne, adjacent to the Théâtre de Verdure, with access to the former Sainte-Anne chapel, now a multi-purpose hall with toilets and an indoor kitchen and dining area. As we don't have a bathroom on site, we'll be installing solar-powered showers. Laundry will be done by hand.
    You'll share the various collective tasks and prepare meals together, either in the outdoor summer kitchen or under the small covered facility. A budget will be allocated to the organizers, and you'll help with grocery-shopping and meal preparation, giving priority to healthy, vegetarian, local products.

    Description of specific requirements: Foreigners belonging to the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate.     Remember to pack clothes and shoes for work and hiking. Nights can be chilly, so bring a warm comforter and a sleeping mat. Don't forget to bring a hat or cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, a small backpack, a water bottle and mosquito repellent, as well as loose-fitting clothing for the evenings. You can also bring recipes from your country/region, musical instruments and games. As the village is far from the meeting point (Gare les Arcs Draguignan) and has no public transport, it's imperative to be at the meeting point on time! The last day is for departure, usually in the morning.

    Description of the partner organizing/hosting the project:

    The Environmental Awareness & Action project is part of a series of camps organised by SEEDS in cooperation with different partners. SEEDS collaborates with the Icelandic Ministry for Environment and Natural Resources, the City of Reykjavík, and several local stakeholders on a project to clean up the Icelandic coastline. Partners include the Blue Army, an organisation dedicated to the cause of coastal cleaning, SORPA, the waste collection & management entity in the capital area, and Whales of Iceland, an exhibit showcasing life-size models of whales and porpoises to educate the public about their lives and the impact of human activity on their existence.

    Description of work:

    This camp allows volunteers to learn about global and local environmental issues through non-formal activities such as workshops, discussions, presentations and visits, as well as to contribute directly to environment protection by joining outdoor cleanup tasks.

    These cleanup tasks may be arranged in partnership with the above mentioned organisations or run solely by SEEDS. We also aim to involve the local community, so some of our events may be open to the public. We hope participants will learn how to plan and carry out their own trash cleaning projects back at home. This project is based on similar activities around the world, where outstanding results have been achieved with volunteers. Volunteers can choose one of the two options below, included as hands-on volunteering activity in the camp:
    1. A day trip combining a visit to the Hellisheiði geothermal power plant, a trash collection in the area, and the Hot River Hike, a hike up a valley filled with hot springs where one can bathe.
    2. A day trip to the Reykjanes Peninsula, combined with a coastal cleanup in the area.

    Please note that all activities are subject to weather conditions and the availability of our partners.

    This camp combines learning, sharing, hands-on work and fun. No previous experience is needed. Volunteers should prepare to share environmental issues from their countries and be ready to spend time outdoors, walking medium to long distances during the cleanups, and during other activities such as sightseeing. Since a part of the project happens outdoors, volunteers should be ready to adapt and be flexible with the work and free-time schedule. Depending on the weather, we may not be able to perform some of the activities as planned.

The world’s northernmost capital bridges the Atlantic, situated between Europe and North America. Reykjavík is spread across a peninsula with a panoramic view of the mountains and the Atlantic. It is an international city with a lively cosmopolitan cultural scene surrounded by beautiful nature.

    SEEDS volunteers stay in a house in Reykjavík. The facilities are basic with an equipped kitchen, dining and living room, bathrooms, showers and a washing machine. Everyone is expected to show consideration for their companions. Accommodation is in shared rooms, with up to 6 people per room. Please bring your own towel.
    Volunteers will receive food supplies and will be in charge of cooking and cleaning. Please note the food SEEDS provides will be vegetarian. Do not forget to bring some traditional/typical food, drinks, recipes, music, games or movies from your country for the intercultural evening. Please be aware some items or ingredients may be expensive in Iceland and you will need to buy them yourselves or bring them from your country.

    English will be the language in the camp; basic conversational skills are needed. Additional excursions (eg.     Description of work:

    Highlights of this camp: comfortable accommodation, numerous excursions at the weekend: Frankfurt, Cologne, Mainz and much more. Group feeling in the middle of the forest!
    Are you a nature lover? Then this work camp is the right place for you! You can live and work in the middle of the forest for two weeks. Your main task will be to plant trees and thus make an active contribution to environmental protection! You will also help with other various nature conservation tasks, such as forest maintenance work, building and repairing protective fences and maintaining biotopes, and you will learn a lot about the forest ecosystem.

    You'll be staying in the middle of the forest in a super nice accommodation, where you can have a barbecue together in the evening or sit around the campfire. You will be provided with a minibus so that you can get to know the beautiful surroundings and go to the swimming pool, wildlife park or climbing garden. Excursions to the Rhine Area with its castles, to Koblenz, Mainz, Cologne, Heidelberg or Frankfurt are also on your program. The nearest town is Bingen, which also has plenty of sights to offer.
