Description of the partner organizing/hosting the project:

HANDS ON is a camp where young people acquire social skills, learn and practice Social Thinking in a supportive environment. All campers participate daily in a social group dedicated to organizing and distributing clothing and essential goods to families in need and also supporting children in spending their vacation time, which focuses on the social learning of concepts necessary for everyday life. Campers work hard to achieve camp goals but also to identify their own social goals and to try new strategies as they navigate the week at camp. HANDS ON focuses on teaching campers how to think and solve problems in social situations rather than relying on cues or changes in the external environment around the camper.

    Description of work:

Counsellors support campers in the practice of social learning during camp activities, including participation in social volunteering actions. Specifically, volunteers will have to carry out two types of tasks in rotating groups. Project: MAS Podlipansko is a non-profit organization based in the fertile Polabí region of the Czech Republic. Since 2006, it has focused on preserving the region's values, improving local life, and fostering collaboration between public, business, and non-profit sectors. The workcamp's goal is to strengthen the local community by enhancing the language skills of rural children and introducing them to European cultures. Volunteers will help children improve their English and promote European values, resulting in an active, English-speaking group that will continue to foster cultural connections in the region. At this workcamp, you will actively contribute to the achievement of the United Nation Sustainable Development Goal 4 Quality Education.

Work: The volunteers will begin the workcamp by familiarizing themselves with the space and preparing for the international workcamp during the first week. From July 7 to 11, 2025, they will then run a day camp for up to 20 rural children, focusing on environmental topics, as Kostelní Lhota is a very green village promoting environmental awareness. In case of rain, activities will move indoors to the community center's large hall. The work is not physically demanding but requires mental effort due to the active 5-day program for the children.

Study part: The educational activities for the volunteers will include a workshop with the local mayor about community activities in Kostelní Lhota, as well as visits to nearby villages such as Sadská, Poděbrady (spa town), and Nymburk. Bicycles will be provided for easy transportation during these excursions. These activities aim to enhance the volunteers’ understanding of local community dynamics and regional culture, while also allowing them to explore the surrounding area.

    ● 위치

Leisure time: Football or volleyball tournaments will be organized with the local community at the football field, along with visits to the nearby spa in Poděbrady and tours of the towns of Pečky and Sadská. In the community center, volunteers will have access to table tennis, foosball, and other sports activities.
Location: The workcamp will take place at the Community Center in Kostelní Lhota, 100 metres away from the accommodation. The village is located in the Nymburk district, 10km from the spa town of Poděbrady, in the Central Bohemian region. Surrounded by larger towns like Poděbrady, Sadská, Český Brod, and Pečky, the area is in the fertile Polabí Lowlands. The village has a grocery store, football field, tennis courts, kindergarten, playground, cemetery, waste collection center, and church.
The Community Center and school are both newly renovated. ATM and pharmacy are 2.5km away , while a shop is within walking distance.

Directions to meeting point: Timetables may change for summer. We will provide more transport details in infoheet later. Project and Work:
Help restore a historic cobbled path at the entrance to the town of Bazas, in the middle of the Entre-deux-Mers vineyards!
You'll start this restoration project by clearing the weeds between the stones and then repairing the joints that have been destroyed through time. The section you'll be working on corresponds to one of the historic entrances of the town, which is surrounded by walls. The path goes under a stone gate, the Porte du Gisquet. You will be supervised by a technical guide who will teach you various traditional methods.

    Partner:
The commune of Bazas has a project to restore this pathway that enters the town. It is a popular route into the town for local residents, but it is now difficult for people with reduced mobility to use. During the summer season, the town of Bazas organizes numerous events and village festivals, which you'll have the chance to take part in. With its market, cathedral, cafés, craftsmen and narrow streets, Bazas is a lively village! There are many natural sites in the area, including spots for kayaking and canoeing.

    Meeting points:
The meeting point is Bordeaux SNCF station on 02/07 in the late afternoon.
The exact time of the meeting will be communicated with the route map, which will be sent out no later than 4 weeks before the start of the project.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: You do not need experience to
participate in “Paper Road”. You will work with an
archaeologist and historian. The volunteer camp takes
place at the foot of the mountain, in the Paular valley, a
place historically linked to the Los Batanes estate as a
model of industrial development such as the use of
different hydraulic devices to take advantage of water
energy. This is where the galley proofs with which the first
edition of Don Quixote was published were produced.
Why participate in our field? In “Camino de Papel”,
participants will carry out a series of specific
archaeological activities in different locations with the
aim of discovering archaeological remains based on
previous research. For 15 days, you will be able to enjoy a
special vacation, meeting people from other regions and
    countries.

Tasks: Clearing and cleaning of existing
vegetation, both inside and outside and around the
perimeter of archaeological structures. Manual cleaning
and scraping of construction parts (walls, floors, etc.).
removing vegetation that is harmful to architectural
elements. If archaeological objects are found, they will be
collected, documented, and stored for later study.
    Excavate certain structures using archaeological
    methodology, developing strict stratigraphic
documentation of the levels of deposition and the
construction units that may exist in the subsoil. In this
process, all archaeological material will be collected. An
archaeological survey is also planned. Register all
archaeological material collected for research and
subsequent storage in the Regional Archaeological
Museum of the Community of Madrid, as established by

After the resounding success of the first project, the adventure continues! Over the course of a weekend, the International Journalism Festival transforms the small village of Couthures-sur-Garonne (and its 300 inhabitants) into a veritable crossroads for meetings and debates. Workshops, live shows, and screenings bring the village to life around a central theme: news and journalism. Sponsored by the Le Monde group, this festival, set in an exceptional natural setting, combines reflection, sharing and conviviality.

    Description of work:

The aim of this work camp is to help organise the festival by joining the team of volunteers and organisers. As part of a team of volunteers, most of whom are villagers, you'll be helping to set up the site, putting up fences and tents, etc. During the festival, you'll also have the opportunity to attend conferences and welcome visitors. Description of the partner organizing/hosting the project:

It’s been ten years that Lunaria and Agape are working side by side to create a space where people can meet in harmony. Agape International Ecumenical Centre is an important point of reference in Italian Protestantism, being for 70 years a place of education and development, theological exploration, political engagement, acceptance and validation of differences. A resident group still lives at Agape throughout the year. Agape was built after the Second World War as a sign of hope and reconciliation between people, thanks to the voluntary work of many young men and women. The dimensions of community and voluntary service remain fundamental.

    Description of work:

Every year many people, with different ages and religious, cultural and political backgrounds, come to Agape to discuss and to be challenged, to get to know themselves and each other and to exchange experiences around a particular theme. The work camp will support the management and support the meetings on issues of political, social, cultural and religious interest. The center is volunteers-driven, and its management is in your hands. By joining this workcamp you will contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals: QualityEducation-SDG4 and GenderEquality-SDG5 Reduce inequality SDG510 Promote peaceful and inclusive societies SDG516
WORK : The workcamp is an international experience, giving the volunteers the opportunity to meet young people from all over the world. In terms of communication, the main watchword at the Center is diversity and open-mindedness. This is your chance to discover different cultures, and ideas and exchange experiences. The work accomplished on each camp is very important, the volunteers themselves are the main reason for Agape is able to keep organizing more and more projects every year. Thanks to a group of people living there all year long (the so-called Resident group), but also to the ecumenical and international community coming to help, the center has an effect on its visitors' life. As a volunteer, you will be asked to work with the Resident Group. Every Resident has a sector for which they are responsible (kitchen, cleaning, bar, maintenance,... and so on), in which you will help them, and each of the Residents will be there to help you and support you. You will have 6-7 working hours per day. The Centre will organize every year's national camps in the place and the international group will work in parallel with the permanent residence to guarantee the running of all other project schedules. Volunteers will help in the following tasks: kitchen, meal service (tables and dishes), cleaning, maintenance, bartending, and babysitting.

    ● 위치

    Description of location and leisure:

Agape is in the Alps, close to Prali commune. Games, discussions, and outings can be organized during free time. Project and work:
Welcome to Bonnelles ! A charming village located between the forests of Rambouillet and Dourdan. This workcamp is an opportunity to combine solidarity, nature discovery and local traditions. For two weeks, you'll be helping to build furniture out of recycled pallets to furnish the Bonnelles courtyard, as well as creating a simple fresco.

    Partner :
For the first time this summer, the commune of Bonnelles is taking part in the adventure of international workcamps, with a project that will have a major impact on both residents and builders. This village of 2,200 inhabitants benefits from a very active community fabric, and makes a point of promoting its rural heritage and exceptional natural setting. Projects carried out as part of international workcamps enable the village to participate in preserving its heritage and improving its living environment. Opening up to the world is one of the village's key aims, to promote intercultural exchanges with its residents, especially the younger ones.

    ● 위치

    Location and leisure activities:
Bonnelles is located in the Yvelines department, 50 km from Paris. Surrounded by forests, the village offers numerous hiking opportunities, perfect for discovering the region's natural gems. During the workcamp, you'll visit local producers such as Ferme des Clos, take part in board games with the locals or enjoy forest outings. Finally, you'll learn about migration and inequality, and meet several times with a group of male asylum seekers housed in Bonnelles. Visits can also be arranged to discover the various facilities in the village and surrounding area.

    Meeting point:
Meet in front of Bonnelles town hall at 6pm on 4/07. To get there, take the RER B southbound from Châtelet station.

From Orly airport: Take the OrlyVal bus to Antony, then the RER B to Orsay-ville station.

From Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport: take the RER B to Orsay-ville station.

Once in Orsay-Ville, take the bus 3907, heading to Collège des 3 Moulins. The town hall is a 5-minute walk away.

Don't hesitate to consult the train timetable on the RATP website (https://www.ratp.fr/), and wherever possible, consider using low-carbon transport (train and bus rather than plane) for a sustainable international worksite.

    ● 숙박

    Accommodation and meals:
You'll be staying in solid accommodation divided into 2 single-sex dormitories with sanitary facilities in an accommodation for asylum seekers. There is a possibility that the accommodation will be in individual tents, if it is the case we will let you know as soon as we know. Lunch will be taken in the canteen at midday, for dinners and breakfasts, it will be cooked by the youth group. You will share the various collective tasks and prepare meals together. As far as possible, we will promote vegetarian meals using local, seasonal produce, while respecting the dietary requirements of all participants and introducing them to local gastronomy.
A budget will be allocated to the leaders, and you will help with shopping and meal preparation.

    ● 특별 요구사항

    Good to know :
Bring work clothes and hiking boots. Nights can be chilly, so bring warm clothes, a pillowcase and a pillow. Bring rainwear (fleece, raincoat, etc.). Don't forget your sun protection (hat, sunglasses, cream, etc.), a water bottle and bathing suit for swimming in rivers and streams.

There will be plenty of time for socializing, especially with the village elders. If you'd like to share a little of your culture (music, songs, recipes, unusual objects...), don't hesitate to bring along a little piece of your country or region, children's books, a Bluetooth speaker or a musical instrument to show off your favorite playlist!

The internet connection is very weak, so you'll be immersed in nature. There's no launderette nearby, so laundry will mainly be done by hand.

The last day of the workcamp (18/07) is devoted to departure in the morning.
