Description of the partner organizing/hosting the project:

Overseas is a non-profit organization and NGO established in Spilamberto (Modena) in 1971 to promote the global development of communities in non-European countries through volunteering and international cooperation, support for local grassroots organizations and groups, distance solidarity for children and young people in need.Overseas has always given great importance to the assumption of lifestyles oriented to the sobriety of consumption, to solidarity without borders and has made practices of recovery and reuse of the principlae mode of research of economic resources for the construction of its headquarters.The workcamp is an important stage in the redevelopment process of the association s headquarters, and in particular the historic building consisting of a shed of about 500 square meters in the 80s used for agricultural use for the storage of tools and animals and then used for storage of goods donated for reuse and recycling. The shed is located in the land owned by the association in the vicinity of another building properly Casa Overseas used as the operational headquarters and residence of the Association in which the participants will be hosted in the workcamp; around the two buildings there is a large green area, at the time used as an educational-experimental field, with a garden, vegetable garden and arboretum of traditional varieties.The project consists in the reorganization of the spaces and activities that are

Description of work:

Preparation of the premises identified for the laboratories: cleaning, painting, decoration, arrangement of service furniture, transfer and placement of goods, materials and equipmentSupport actions for the redevelopment of the shed: sorting of donated materials and used goods, simple manual maintenance, upcycling of furniture and furnishings.Simple manual maintenance of the external furnishings and placement of signs and supports for hospitality and convivialityDetection of elements in the external area for updating the mapping of the arboretum and identification of routes for the visit.
